Why Micro-Aerated Tallow?
Molecular Compatibility
Tallow shares a 50% saturated fat profile with your own skin cell membranes. Our micro-aeration process ensures it absorbs like a serum, not a heavy balm.
Micro-Aerated vs Whipped
Standard "whipped" tallow oxidizes nutrients with large air bubbles. We micro-aerate our tallow to preserve Vitamin A, D, E & K density while maximizing spreadability.
Barrier Restoration
Rich in Stearic Acid and CLA, kidney suet helps support the skin's natural moisture barrier, providing intensive conditioning for chronically dry skin.
The Biological Edge
Stop using low-quality fats
Most tallow brands leave your skin feeling oily yet dehydrated. This is because they use standard trim fat which lacks the molecular density to penetrate the skin barrier. Sego Lily exclusively uses kidney suet (the "extra virgin" of fat) to support your skin's natural balance.
Intensive Conditioning
Bio-identical fatty acids help support the skin's natural barrier function and provide relief from dryness.
Rich in Vitamins
Contains naturally occurring Vitamin D and K to help support healthy-looking skin.

Origin Story
Sourced from the Yellowstone Valley
Authentic skincare starts with the soil. We partner exclusively with a USDA certified organic ranch in Montana's Yellowstone Valley that practices holistic grazing. Our cattle are 100% grass-finished. This ensures the kidney suet, the 'extra virgin' of fat, is rich in chlorophyll-derived nutrients and free from the inflammatory omega-6 spikes found in grain-fed tallow.
Every tallow butter and lip balm we make, as of this year.
From The Founder
"I started Sego Lily because I was tired of skincare that was 70% water. I wanted a lipid that was alive. Tallow is bio-identical to your skin's own oils meaning it works with your barrier right away rather than sitting on top. We returned to ancestral wisdom and applied modern rendering physics to create the purest and most potent skin food on earth."

Frequently Asked Questions
What is tallow, and why put it on skin?
Tallow is rendered beef fat. Its fat profile is close to the oils your skin already makes, so it sinks in instead of sitting on top.
Where does your tallow come from?
The suet comes from the B Bar, a USDA certified organic ranch where the cattle are grass-lived. Holly renders it herself, low and slow, in her ranch kitchen in Pompeys Pillar, Montana.
What does micro-aerated mean?
Whipped tallow is full of large air bubbles. We micro-aerate ours instead, so it spreads easily and keeps its density.
Why is there no water in it?
Most lotions are mostly water, and water needs a preservative system. Ours has no water, so it doesn't need one. It's tallow and a short list of oils.
